4-H offers opportunities for its members to learn drama and dance.

Dance:

At ReDISCOVER 4-H, during the 11-1:30pm time period, the Cloggers will do a clogging performance. The LaTeeno Dancers will also demonstrate their skills.

Drama:

Also during this time period, we will have one or two drama groups perform their plays. These groups have participated in "Curtain Call" - a drama competition that Waukesha County 4-H has every February.

The 4-Leaf 4-H Club will present the skit "Write Frame of Mind."

Demonstrations

Demonstrating is a fun and easy way of simply showing and telling how to do something. Cooking, crafting, woodworking, care of animals or repairing are just a few ideas. The demonstrations can be as creative and imaginative as you are. They can be done by either one individual, a team of two individuals or a group of individuals. 4-H members must give a demonstration at the county level as a requirement of a project medal.

Classic Demonstration: 4-H members choose a topic of interest and develop a presentation that gives the audience a clear understanding of "how to" actually do something. The use of props is a key factor in helping the audience learn the methods that you are presenting.

Action Demonstration: Is similar to a demonstration but for a sustained period of time (1-3 hours) in which the presenter/group works on an article or item. The presenter "chats" with visitors about what they are doing, why they are doing the things they are and what the final outcome will be. 4-H members may give an action demonstration at the county level or equivalent to count toward the requirements of a project medal.

4-H members: If you are interested in signing up for doing a demonstration (3-5 minutes) AND/OR an Action Demonstration (for at least one hour) during the time period 11-1:30pm:

Demonstrations will be critiqued and count as a county level demonstration.

4-H also offers opportunities for its members to gain experience in public speaking and performing as individuals.

At ReDISCOVER 4-H, some 4-H members will perform instrumental solos or ensembles. We also plan on having some 4-H members perform declamations. Declamations are dramatic readings, speeches, story telling, or poem/story recitations.

Each year, Waukesha County 4-H has "Showcase" in February. This event allows individual 4-H members to be judged and critiqued on vocal, instrumental, or speaking performances.
